This internationally acclaimed violinist will perform with local favorite Boise Baroque Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Daniel Stern.
Rachel Barton Pine began violin studies at age three and made her professional debut four years later at age seven. She is committed to encouraging the next generation to experience the transformative power of the arts. Caldwell Fine Arts will sponsor a masterclass and lecture to area string students the day of the concert.

Don't miss this opportunity to be taught by one of the country's best! Rachel’s Masterclass is open to all ages, but will be geared to middle school and up. We ask that children under the age of 14 be accompanied by a teacher or parent. Rachel will coach a couple of C of I students, giving all students valuable insight along the way. She will also talk to the students and answer questions at the end. Rachel is an inspiring player, as well as a fantastic person. She’ll be very inspiring and motivating for our aspiring violinists.

"Stories from the Stage"
Mr. Johnson, a member of the Langroise Trio, played in an orchestra with Rachel when she was in her teens. He’ll share valuable insights about her career, the repertoire for the evening concert, and the instrument Rachel plays.
Catered meal at 5:30 pm and short presentation at 6:15 pm. The cafeteria is not available that night due to sports banquets, so the meal will be catered hot soup and sandwiches served in Langroise 114.
